**size 16 Caps are smaller than sze 20 and have shorter prings. They use the same size studs and sockets as size 20 caps. Size 16 is most commonly used for baby and toddle clothing and for mama pads. I like to use them for newborn size diapers and for covers, where the layers are really thin. If the layers are too thick the prongs will be too short to go through the layers. If unsure, you can order a couple of each size and see which works the best for your needs.
